0On the evening of August 12, Beijing time, renowned transfer expert Fabrizio Romano confirmed with his iconic "Here we go" that Serie A champions Inter Milan have successfully signed 26-year-old Tottenham full-back Djed Spence. The two clubs have reached a verbal agreement, with a transfer fee of €31.5 million.
Spence himself has fully agreed to the transfer, as recently disclosed, and the player wishes to complete the move. The deal is finalized.

Born on August 9, 2000, Spence has just turned 26. As a versatile defender, he can play in both full-back positions.
In the summer of 2022, Tottenham signed Spence for a transfer fee of €14.7 million. After being loaned out multiple times, Spence finally secured regular playing time at Tottenham in the last two seasons. Last season, he made 44 appearances for the club.

In the World Cup that ended this summer, Spence not only earned the favor of Thomas Tuchel and was included in the final 26-man squad. He made appearances in all 8 matches of the England team in this World Cup and performed well.

Currently, Spence is valued at €40 million on Transfermarkt in Germany. Inter Milan signing him below this valuation is indeed a great bargain. This is also the second England international Inter has signed this summer, after 32-year-old former Manchester City center-back John Stones joined Inter as a free agent.
